Game Plan For Next Week

Dear Parents,

Thank you for your understanding this week. I deeply appreciate it. After looking at and grading the papers that I grabbed on Wednesday; it is clear some things need to be redone. Language was the biggest concern; some topics were fine and some need some serious help. Below is the plan for next week. I will take the time to redo as a group and/or smaller groups topics that need to be reviewed from this week.

Memory: Same verse that was due today...The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the works of His hands. Psalm 19:1

Math: We will do what the plan was for this week starting with Investigation 11 (or is it 12)

Spelling and Language:

     1. No Spelling Words since not going to new lessons
      2. Review and reteach as needed from this past week
      3. Extra time will be spent on penmanship and improving our writing skills.

Reading: 4th Grade...continue with next set of scheduled chapters for "Treasure Island" we will discuss this past weeks chapters on Monday. There will be a test on Friday for the next set of chapters and vocabulary words.

3rd Grade...We will revisit and discuss the story "Oral History" from this current week. We will take a test on it on Friday.

Science: Things looked good here, we may spend a day discussing what they learned (I will let them teach me) and then move on from there.

Please partner with me and remind your students that they need to be putting in their best effort and attitudes in the classroom. I was shocked to see how many papers were turned in half done, and not following directions. This seems to be becoming a more common issue the past couple weeks. I have not tolerated them trying to rush and turn things in not finished and will continue to push them to do their best and to work hard until the end of the year. If it keeps up and continues to happen, I will not be so nice in letting them make things up for full points, etc.

Additionally, the plan is for me to be back on Monday. I ask that you please remind your child not only the previously mentioned, but that they also need to be helping me out some by doing what they are supposed to do, following classroom rules right away, and to focus on themselves as well. I will be talking with them some about it on Monday as well.

I am sorry I am missing tonight, but I wish them all good luck and I know they will do fantastic in their skit!!

Blessings,
Christina
