Newsletter and New Homework Policy

 Hi All,

Attached is the newsletter for next week.

At the start of the 2nd quarter, I made a new incentive for the class to get their homework in on time. Most of you may know what it is. Each day they all turn in their homework in the morning and if all of them have their work turned in, in the trays they will get a letter in the word "homework" and once they spell out the word homework they will get a movie and popcorn on a Friday. Since this has happened the class has only spelt out the word once and since back to school in January they have only be able to get 2 letters.

I am sorry, but this is unacceptable. Homework needs to be done each night and turned in the next morning first thing. Not after I have collected it and graded it. I am getting tired of asking them for their homework and hearing them say it is in their desk. They have plenty of time in class to work. I want to see them care about their work again. Therefore, until further notice (unless their is an emergency at your house one night and please know you can contact me) if homework is not turned in the next day they will lose points and be finishing it at recess. If the homework is left at home (and is finished) they will be walking the line at recess.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Blessings,
Christina
